Day Twenty Three Something I wish was different

I guess my biggest wish would be that the prequels didn’t suck as bad as they do. My second wish would be that George Lucas had never released the Special Editions…because that was really the harbinger of doom with the CGI heavy abominations that would be the prequel trilogy. I think Mr. Lucas just gets lost in technology. Something that happens to all of us from time to time.

If the plan was to make Jar Jar Binks the hidden Dark Lord of the Sith my ultimate wish would be for that to happen. Maybe that is the wanna be wrestling writer in me…a guy with that much heat has to be the bad guy…when you have that kind of heat you have to use it. That is the one thing I learned from watching wrestling for years. It would be awesome to live in a world where we all hate Jar Jar because it was the epitome of evil instead of a fucking stupid shit waste of a character.  It would also make Episode One not as worthless as it is to the saga itself. As it stands right now I tell people who have never seen these movies to not even waste their time with that train wreck of a movie.

Think about how awesome it could have been…and then we wouldn’t have had to waste our time with Count Dooku…who is made out to be a big important part of the conspiracy for about 5 minutes…then he dies like a bitch ala Darth Maul. If Jar Jar was the Lord and Palpatine the apprentice well they we can forgive some of the deaths of lesser siths because they would not have been as important.

I would have liked to see Binks getting betrayed by Palpatine in the third movie to take his place as leader of the Empire. How cool would that have been? Then they could have used books, and video games and whatever else to get the Emperor the heat he needed to be as evil as he was in the Orig Trig.
